FORS Gold-accredited 3PL provider Aztek Logistics has continued to invest in its now 40-strong fleet, purchasing some of the highest-specification vehicles in the industry.

The award-winning business, located in Letchworth, Hertfordshire has seen more than a double-digit increase in demand over the last 18 months.

Making its debut at Truckfest on August 28, Aztek showcased its latest new vehicles, including two TGX Man tractor units, one TGM 26-tonne MAN rigid and two DAF tractor units.

The latest investment follows a series of new contract wins for the Pallet-Track member, including the NHS East Ambulance Service.

After stepping in to assist the NHS by holding high volumes of PPE and medical equipment free of charge, Aztek now manages the stock and distribution of all consumables that go into the service’s fleet of ambulances – from PPE and test kits to bandages and mops and buckets.

Aztek managing director, Stuart Charter, said: “The past 18 months have seen unparalleled challenges for the logistics sector, one of which was a huge increase in demand for both warehouse space and road freight. Our investment means can match the growing demand in enquiries we have experienced and ensure our customers are able to continue receiving the top-line service they are used with us.

“The decision to grow our fleet now was a strategic one, as with peak season drawing near we need to be ready for yet another influx in demand.

“This step is just one of many we have and will continue to make over the next year. With more investments to come in both personnel and technology, we are putting the building blocks in place for a bigger and brighter future for Aztek Logistics.

“As our customer base continues to grow in quantity, we are confident our investments will maintain our first-class quality.”
