The Craft Bakers Association (CBA) has launched a new website that showcases the many benefits of membership. As the voice of the sector since 1887, the CBA serves hundreds of craft bakers across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, offering its members and industry supporters a raft of benefits, including expert advice on HR and health and food safety, as well as discounts on a host of relevant services. One of the key benefits of a CBA membership is its discounted online training programme, which the new website makes even easier to access and use.

The training programme, available via the CBA website, allows members to coordinate training for themselves and their employees while tracking progress, downloading certificates and more.

In this competitive market, finding qualified team members or students looking for experience can be tough, so the CBA’s new site has a dedicated area for members wanting to offer students practical experience whilst at college, promote job vacancies and find candidates to join their team. Those seeking employment, from trained bakers to students looking to gain experience, are also able to submit their CVs in order to be connected with relevant opportunities and likewise, vacancies can also be posted on the site.

In addition to this, bakery students are able to apply for a CBA membership and develop their skills in the dedicated student area of the website.

The new website also offers a page showcasing all CBA Industry Supporters. Members and non-members are able to see further details on all Industry Supporters and their services, from equipment and ingredient suppliers to technology advancements.

Karen Dear, Director of Operations at Craft Bakers Association, says: “We are passionate about the baking industry and keen to pass on our knowledge and expertise to future generations. The CBA is here to assist the industry, be it through supporting our members and newly qualified bakers, championing our cause, sharing opportunities and offering a place to network, or simply demonstrating our craft to others. The Craft Bakers Association has been the voice of craft bakery for nearly 150 years, working with the government and other bodies to safeguard the future of the sector, and the new website is the latest chapter in acting out that commitment.

“From savings on third party services such as training and health and food safety, to HR and legal advice, membership of the CBA makes great business sense, and the new website takes it a step further, making it even easier to come on board and get more out of your membership.”
