At the beginning of May 2022, TIP’s ‘FBB&G’ cycling team are taking on a tough bike ride across the South of France. This year’s charity challenge starts near Marseille with an anticipated finish three days later in the municipality of Monaco. With seven successful charity rides already under the belt, the team has raised more than €400,000 for deserving charitable causes.

Commenting on this year’s challenge, Mike Furnival, managing director UK&I, TIP Trailer Services said, “Our industry has consistently supported the annual charity cycle challenge and we’re incredibly grateful for all the donations received. This year promises to be tougher than ever with some lumpy hills ready to test some ageing limbs. There will probably be a bit of blood, buckets of sweat and a lot of tears!”

The team of 40 enthusiastic cyclists is drawn from the UK and Irish transport industries and, as usual, there is a wide mix of age, size, experience, and abilities.

Last year’s Balearics event raised over £70,000 for the nominated charities and for this year’s event the FBB&G cyclists are once again attempting to raise a sizeable donation for the ‘Dougie Mac’ and Donna Louise children’s hospice in Staffordshire.

Mike continues, “Our target for 2022 is to raise £30,000 and I’m sure that we will get fantastic support from all corners of the transport industry.”
