Leading provider of low-carbon disinfection and air purification systems, UV Safe, has announced the appointment of Pauline Harris as business development manager.

Pauline has been working in the meat industry for more than 20 years and her extensive CV ranges from working in production management to technical roles for ABP (Anglo Beef Products).

Paul Anderson, managing director of UV Safe, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Pauline to the UV Safe team. With her experience of building, maintaining and promoting relationships with customers, combined with an unparalleled knowledge of the food industry, I’ve no doubt she will be a valuable asset.”

UV Safe established in 2016 and soon made a name for itself with the Sterimiser®, a unique waterless knife steriliser. Today, it is the leading provider of low-carbon disinfection and total air purification solutions, providing a complete package of solutions to the food industry.

Commenting on her new role, Pauline said: “Having had first-hand experience with UV Safe products in my previous roles, I’m excited to be part of this innovative business. At ABP the engineers needed an alternative to unreliable hot water sterilisers and helped get the Sterimiser authorised under FSA/EU regulations. It saved ABP a fortune in hot water and energy and I look forward helping other businesses make similar cost and carbon savings.”

Pauline’s appointment follows the launch of the new UV Site website, which features the businesses updated branding and an improved user experience.
