The East Midlands’ leading independent Renault trucks distributor RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV), has helped new customer, Oakham based Manor Farm Feeds, with an investment in its 15-vehicle fleet.

The RHCV dealership in Leicester provided support to the Rutland manufacturer and supplier of high-quality feeds for all types of farm animals, assisting with its investment in state-of-the-art Renault Trucks.

Following a decade of steady growth, the family-owned company – which employs 20 staff and was founded in 1986 – chose the Renault product range due to the high specification.

RHCV’s Cossington branch advised Manor Farm Feeds on its fleet expansion requirements, and the firm subsequently placed an order for two new Renault C Range 430bhp 8×4 Tridem vehicles. One was to replace an existing vehicle, and the other was to boost overall vehicle numbers.

Nigel Baxter, Managing Director at RHCV, said: “We’re always delighted to welcome new customers onto the books, and Manor Farm Feeds is no exception. Our Renault products really appeal to a wide range of customers, because they are durable, innovative, and highly adaptable, meeting all transport needs and sector requirements.

“Pairing these fantastic products up with RHCV’s aftercare package means we can continue to be responsive, offering the very best support for our customers as they go about their commercial operations.”

RHCV has expanded significantly in recent years, growing from one to six sites across the region. The firm employs a dedicated team of 140 staff and has invested £70,000 in its Leicester (Cossington) site. This has stimulated continued growth across the customer base there, in all sectors including agriculture.

Over the past few years, alongside the Cossington expansion, RHCV has expanded into Northamptonshire, broadened its offer with Isuzu, opened a brand new £3.5m facility in Nottingham, as well as new sites just outside Newark in North Nottinghamshire and Peterborough.

Managing Director of Manor Farm Feeds, Jonathan Bland, commented: “Historically, our fleet comprised Volvo and DAF vehicles, but with more choice coming into the market, we were open to other makes.

“For us, making the switch to the latest Renault Trucks after around 15 years was about the product itself. We liked the look and design of the vehicles and felt what they had to offer met our needs as a business. Our drivers are pleased with the new trucks, and the RHCV team has been extremely responsive to our needs.”

“This is especially important to us because we are all about delivering a reliable and personal service to our own customers. That’s at the heart of our own business ethos, so it is good to see these values are also reflected in RHCV’s approach to customer care.”

RHCV has over 50 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle market. It became the Renault Trucks dealer for the East Midlands in 1986, and in 2020, RHCV also partnered up with Isuzu, providing an even greater choice of brands for its customers.
