Carrier Transicold’s all-electric, fully autonomous Vector® eCool™ trailer refrigeration system, the was recently recognized by Environment + Energy Leader as a Top Product of the Year for 2022. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Global Corporation, (NYSE: CARR) the leading global provider of healthy, safe, sustainable and intelligent building and cold chain solutions.
Carrier reaffirmed its commitment to reducing emissions, improving sustainability and increasing efficiency across the refrigerated transport sector with the launch of the first fully autonomous, all-electric engineless Vector eCool refrigerated trailer system in 2020. Vector eCool combines the company’s E-Drive™ all-electric technology with a new cutting-edge energy recovery and storage system. This converts kinetic energy generated by the trailer into electricity, which is then stored in a battery pack to power the refrigeration unit. This loop creates a fully autonomous system that produces no direct carbon dioxide (CO2) or particulate emissions.
